Yes, full.
Several months ago, I sent Wade to the corner. (Yah, I'm old school like that) :) Truth be told it is beneficial for all parties involved. It helps me
Moments later he returned with a wicked grin (remember during Mama's cool off time, all grinning is wicked!), "Sorry, Mom but the corners are full."
"Full? Of what?!" I sputter, "You had better find one and fast!"
"Really, Mom. They are full!"
Spinning on my heel, I scan the corners and full they were. Of baby dolls. Placed there by my roll- playing two year old. Oh the humility.
It's in those moments when you want so badly to be mad that you look into the faces of 3 giggling cherubs that you know what full corners really are.
The corners of our hearts are indeed filled.
Filled with gratitude for Jesus' shed blood.
Filled with awe at God's magnificent creation.
Filled with wonder at the miracle of life.
Filled with love for each other.
Filled with thanksgiving for family, friends and a church family.
Filled with joy for each milestone reached.
Filled with frustration for the unmet expectations.
Filled with anxiety for the unanswered questions.
Filled with hurt for the broken hearted.
Filled with aching for growth.
Filled with sadness for fatherless.
Filled with thanksgiving for each day.
Filled with hope for a new tomorrow.
Although not an inclusive list, you get the picture.
God has been and is good.
Wyatt
Is so much like his Daddy and SO happy about it! He's witty, creative and loves to irriate, cuddle and snuggle his sisters. Wade remains his partner in war and peace. He's a cool kid.
Turned 7! in June.
Loves Minecraft.
And his sister.
And picking his nose beans!
Work for Dad and Mom is pretty tough.
Want him happy? Let him engineer an underground bunker....
or tell him to "Go outside and play" and you'll find his nose in a book.
Welcome to First Grade!
Wade-oIs our clown. He's the hard worker and ready to tackle (literally and figuratively) almost any project. Wade likes his sandwich cut in half, not folded! and has a definite opinion about his world. He can rock baby dolls with the best of them and ten minutes later be caught tying them to a rocket. Always thinking this lad is.
He said good-bye to preschool.
And hello to babysitting!
And snuggling.
But he's not afraid of being his own man!
Or to bashful to dance in the rain.
Or afraid to get dirty for that matter.
Hello Kindergarten.
Willow
She's still not sure.....is it more fun to tumble with the boys or squeal at their antics?! She's the mother hen. If she's not tending to her orphanage of babies she hi-ya-ing with the ninjas. Willow is independent and two. She makes us laugh.
But a Daddy's buddy to be certain!
Taking care of sis.
And snitchin'.
God's fingerprints and handiwork are all over these little creatures.
Now you can see why our corners are full.
This is a beautiful post, Nancy:)
