Hanging Out....Holding On

Yes, we are still hanging out and holding on, but happily and comfortably so. Our due date has came and went but this little baby is not quite ready to meet us and dare we wonder why???!!!

There has been no reason for the blogging silence. God has blessed us with some very sweet days and memories. The boys continue to be a constant source of entertainment, joy, fun and oh yes this "training up a child" bit proves to be rather challenging :) but we wouldn't change it....for the world! (and I can say that with confidence because they are nestled snugly in their beds, don't ask me around....oh never mind, I really wouldn't change it!)

Are the boys excited about a baby? Well, they were....but this saga has been carried on long enough. After asking, "do you feel the baby coming today?" for several weeks they have lost interest and moved on to much more important things like chasin' cattle rustlers and fixin' me up some BBQ snake ribs, beanie weanie scalapinne and cactus tea. Don't get me wrong there are still some big questions that remain...especially how our little babe will enter the world. Simple generic answers such as, "We go to the hospital and the doctor takes it out of Mom's tummy." do not suffice. They need details :) However, we were gifted The New Baby book which is wonderful and has been read and read and read and read. Oh yes, the baby name favorite remains Wally.

Aside from the cowboy bit, we are loving art and detective work. As you can see Wyatt is developing quite the skills and loves to paint, draw, color and cut. I believe the detective ideals started from a Berenstain Bears' book. When we found spy glasses at our local hardware store on the dollar table we were in luck! Now we have a notebook and detective bag full of "tools." Each string, lint or fuzzball on the floor is typically raced the the "CLUES" envelope while the tracks are recorded in the notebook. Wade even informed me that he "has 10 fingerprints!" So, if you are visiting, remember I live with two certified detectives and a private investigator. Don't even try to pull any shenanigans!

I had to insert this picture from February and an afternoon of snowman fun with our two neighbor boys. And to finish out this catch-all post....the two scariest faces that you ever did see!
