It's Different Now

The places we play
The sidewalks we walk
The streets we drive
The trails we ride
The trees we admire
The neighbors we visit
The friends we love

All changed in the blink of an eye.

November 17, 2013
The day of the tornado.

Our lives were spared.
Our church and home are safe.
Both narrowly escaping total destruction.
We are blessed.
We are humbled.
We praise God.

It hurts, burns and aches
to see the destruction and watch our
friends, neighbors and community suffer.

Thank you for remembering and supporting.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Habakkuk 3:17-19

  1. Rejoicing with you, as we thank Him for His protection over your family and home -- and hurting with you as everything that once was, is no more. Beautiful post, Nancy. You and your family are still in our prayers as we all sort through this. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to Him during this time as we pray for strength and grace to shine for Him among this hurting community. love and prayers - meg
