And he turns

Three!
Happy Birthday!
You are a fun little boy
and we pray many blessings on the year ahead.
We love your inquisitive nature and zest for life.
You are:
whitty and silly, nixy and naughty!
However, we love you and count it a privilege to be your Dad and Mom!

I wanted to share a small excerpt from Wyatt's birth story.
If you haven't written one for your children, do it for yourself.

The day you were born I experienced the most beautiful sunrise. It was Monday. As the sun the came peaking through the horizon, the sky was a brilliant color pallet of the deepest shades of pink, vibrant orange and a gentle hue of violet. It was as if God was whispering the world awake as we were working through the last stages of labor. I told your Daddy to please open the blinds in the delivery room so that we could witness the wonder of a new day, your birthday! Just as the sun made it's first appearance, Dr. Naanep arrived. Shortly after that you made your miraculous first appearance into this world. It was 5:10 AM and the doctor gleefully announced that we had a little boy to love and care for. Daddy and I were stunned. It was really real. For months we had anticipated the day when we would be able to touch your tiny toes, gaze into your eyes, whisper secrets in your ears and rub noses with your little snout. You were ours. Our little Wyatt.

Somewhere in the midst of our tears of joy and thankfulness lifted to the Maker your first cry was uttered. You were whisked away to the warming bed where they checked you over and weighed and measured you. You were crying and pink and just perfectly healthy.

The sun streamed in the windows.

When they were finished Daddy proudly carried you over to my bed and tenderly laid you in my arms.

It was a defining moment in our lives. Always and forever we were your parents.

I kissed the tip of your tiny nose and gently whispered your name. We were wildly, crazily and utterly in love with you. You were our baby.
